Robert Balgac is the CEO of Black Swan Insurance Group.

When he was 13 years old, growing up in communism in Eastern Europe, Robert had a dream of playing in the NBA. At age 18, he left everyone he had ever known, with 2 bags, limited English and all his family’s savings of $750, to pursue his dream in America.

Robert didn’t get to the NBA, but he DID end up meeting many great people along the way — in the greatest country in the world. He had a successful career with some of the best Fortune 500 companies in the country before jumping into the insurance business in 2017, when he formed Black Swan Insurance Group with a mission to protect families from unexpected tragedies and help them retire comfortably.
