IUL Insurance Planning
Evaluate permanent life insurance protection, index-based crediting, policy charges, funding levels, and household goals before deciding whether IUL fits your financial strategy.
Explore Indexed Universal Life (IUL) insurance with guidance built around protection first, sustainable funding, cash-value potential, and long-term financial fit. Black Swan Insurance Group helps first-time buyers, professionals, business owners, and families compare IUL with reasonable alternatives, understand policy risks, and evaluate whether a carefully designed strategy supports retirement, liquidity, tax diversification, or legacy goals.

Personalized IUL guidance covering policy design, funding, comparisons, cash value, retirement planning, and tax diversification.
Evaluate permanent life insurance protection, index-based crediting, policy charges, funding levels, and household goals before deciding whether IUL fits your financial strategy.
Explore whether an IUL strategy may support education planning while providing permanent coverage and potential cash-value access, subject to policy design, funding, and ongoing performance.
Consider IUL alongside 401(k), IRA, Roth, brokerage, and other strategies when evaluating supplemental retirement income, tax diversification, and long-term liquidity.
Understand potential tax-deferred cash-value growth and tax-advantaged access, including the conditions, policy risks, and tax consequences that may apply.
Compare IUL with whole life, term, variable, and guaranteed universal life, plus other savings and retirement strategies, to identify a responsible fit.
Review index strategies, cap rates, participation rates, spreads, floors, charges, loans, and funding assumptions through a clear, personalized planning process.
Indexed universal life is permanent life insurance first. Cash value is credited through an index-linked formula rather than invested directly in the market, the floor applies to credited interest rather than policy charges, and any potential tax-advantaged access later depends on the policy being properly structured, funded and managed. We examine protection need, funding capacity, MEC limits, charges and loan mechanics against term insurance, the 401(k), a Roth and a taxable brokerage account. Not everyone should buy an IUL. Illustrations are models, not guarantees: the non-guaranteed column reflects current assumptions the carrier can change.

People who arrived expecting a product recommendation and left with a suitability answer, a funding number and a clear no in several cases.
Most people who ask about an IUL should not buy one, and we would rather say so early. An IUL is life insurance first, and not everyone should buy one.
We evaluate whether IUL fits your goals before presenting a policy recommendation or funding strategy.
Compare IUL with reasonable alternatives instead of treating one insurance product as the universal answer.
Annual reviews help revisit policy performance, funding, charges, loans, and changing household priorities.

An IUL can pay a death benefit to beneficiaries when the insured dies, provided the policy remains in force. During life, the policy may also provide access to cash value through withdrawals or policy loans. Loans accrue interest and can reduce cash value, the death benefit, and policy strength. Tax treatment depends on policy conditions, including MEC status and whether the policy remains in force.
The questions that come up most: what it costs, what the caps do, how loans work, what happens in a flat decade, and when term insurance is the better answer. If IUL does not fit, we will tell you that too.
