Evaluate whether Indexed Universal Life fits your financial objectives, including permanent protection, supplemental retirement income, liquidity, tax diversification, and legacy planning.
Explore how IUL may complement 401(k), IRA, Roth, brokerage, and other savings while comparing illustrated values with guaranteed policy values.
Understand potential tax-deferred cash-value growth and tax-advantaged access while reviewing MEC rules, policy charges, loans, withdrawals, and lapse risks.
Develop a funding approach designed around your cash flow, coverage goals, underwriting, policy structure, and ability to keep the policy in force.
Compare IUL with term, whole life, variable and guaranteed universal life, annuities, retirement accounts, brokerage investing, and alternative strategies.
Indexed universal life is permanent life insurance first. Flexible premium is the feature most often misused by variable-income buyers: skipping years quietly underfunds the contract, and any potential tax-advantaged access depends on the policy being properly structured, funded and managed. We size the premium against your weakest recent year and compare it with a solo 401(k), a SEP IRA, term insurance and cash reserves. Not everyone should buy an IUL.

1099 earners who tested the premium against their worst year rather than their best, and sized it down accordingly or walked away.
A flexible premium sounds ideal until a lean year turns flexibility into underfunding. We model the lean year. An IUL is life insurance first, and not everyone should buy one.
Recommendations are tailored to your goals, budget, coverage needs, financial priorities, and long-term objectives.
Understand illustrations, guarantees, charges, loans, withdrawals, MEC limits, and policy risks before proceeding.
Compare IUL with insurance, retirement, annuity, brokerage, and buy-term-invest-the-difference strategies.
Continued guidance and annual reviews help you monitor policy performance, funding, and changing financial priorities.

Indexed Universal Life is permanent life insurance first. It provides a lifelong death benefit and the potential to build cash value through an index-based crediting formula. The policy is not directly invested in the stock market. Crediting may involve caps, participation rates, spreads, and floors, while policy charges, cost of insurance, rider costs, and surrender charges affect results.
Questions on funding through variable income, what happens when you skip a year, and how this compares with a solo 401(k) or SEP IRA. If IUL does not fit, we will tell you that too.
